Last Day of Term 3!

Last week we said good bye to Mrs Grant. Below is a pic collage of her last Art lesson. The children will miss her.

Today we farewell Alice Eastwick. Alice has been with us for 4 weeks. We really have enjoyed having her. On Fridays she has been teaching the children 'body parts' in Maori. Today was the last lesson.

Also today we had our last lesson from the Animal unit. This was the children's choice. We have learnt amazing facts about zebras, horses, elephants and big cats. Today 'spiders' was the topic. [not my choice] We all tried to draw a spider and hopefully they can share some new knowledge of spiders.

Week 8

Last week we worked with Rm 11 on preparing a display for the Foyer. Many thanks go to Sarah Clapp, a talented lady and a parent in this school community. It was all her idea and she managed to organise us all into painting different parts of the picture.

We had a wonderful day today!

Even though the children were excited they worked well!

Nothing out of the ordinary is happening next week.

Have a great weekend!

Rutherford Team Elections

The elections were held today. Amelia our Leader did a great job of speaking in front of the Rutherford Team.

Amelia was supported by her 2 body guards; Tyler and Bryn and the rest of the McKillop team.

The votes were counted and Archie the Leader of the Pizza Party [rm 12] got first with 30 votes. The Stars Wars party [rm 2] got 2nd with 23 votes. 3rd was Rm 11 [Batman Party] with 17 votes and last but not least was the Crystal party with 15 votes.

On Monday we will find out what Archie has decided that the Rutherford team shall do on the coming Friday.

Yesterday for Phonics we looked at the sound Q and spent time forming question marks with play dough and a little bit of baking.

The big decision they had to make; 'will I eat it now or save it for lunch?

Next week on Tuesday I will be out of the class in the afternoon for ICT Professional Developmental. Mrs Imogen McDonald will be in the room. Mrs Julie Ann Mc Nally will be teaching again on Wednesday.

Have a lovely weekend
