World Cup Dress Up Day

The children loved dressing up. Many thanks to Ruby's Dad for bringing along decorations and Amelia's Mum. Also thanks to the parents who helped to put them up.

During the morning Mrs Campbell and her class came over to help finish the art work she began on Thursday.

Important events for the coming week are the Parent Teacher Interviews on Monday and Wednesday. Remember the 2pm finishes! Then on Friday is the annual event of the Mid Winter breakfast. This run by the PTA and starts from 7. 30am. Sausages, pancakes, milo and coffee are available,---all for a gold coin donation. You also provide your own mug for the milo. I am sure there will be notices about it.

Fingers crossed it is a fine morning! It is usually a cold one so wrap up warm. Its a great chance for the Dads and Mums who work to pop into school first and catch up with other families.

Only 5 sleeps and its the holidays!

Visitors

It was a busy day on Friday with our special visitors.

Father Kevin was our first visitor. He told us about Bishop Barry's visit to our school.
Please remember that we come to school in school uniform tomorrow and not sports gear.

After morning tea we went over to the hall to see Ronald Mc Donald.

We really enjoyed listening to Ronald and had loads of laughs.

We did do some work. We spend a longer time on handwriting on Fridays.

Above is Tyler's handwriting--neatly done!   For Stanly it was his first handwriting session.

See you all tomorrow

Week 5

It will be strange this week without Miss Hill around the place! We do have Bella Grob starting in room 1 this week.

I will be away on Tuesday working on reports. On Wednesday there will be a couple of Librarians speaking to the children in the Rutherford team [that's us] and showing them fun things that the library offers and we can access via the internet.

Friday will certainly be Fun Friday with the visit of a special guest for the Rutherford team--Ronald Mc Donald and then in the afternoon there will be a session for us on cyber bullying.

Below are a few of the pictures that were taken at Ferrymead. These photos were taken at the end of the day in the playground. They are all looking happy as it was their first opportunity to play that day. There is a display up in the classroom for you to view, that shows the activities the children were involved in and also dressed up.

The boys and Savanna letting off some energy.

Hannah and Millie enjoying themselves.

Molly and Lola on the slide.
Lexie wants to drive.
Simon is the King of the Castle.
